Stress vs. Strength
Weekly Thought Offering:
"Stress is the product of seeing the unknowns of life through the lens of fear. Strength is the product of seeing the unknowns of life through a lens of love."
Journal Prompt:
What am I feeling? What lens am I acting from? Do I want more or less of this feeling in my life? Do I want to change?
Mantra:
I welcome love into my thoughts and actions. I welcome strength.

Dearest Sadhaka (a person on a path to joy),
Happy Fall! Happy almost October! A new month means we are ready for a new pose. This week we welcome Garudasana or more commonly known as Eagle pose. This pose is a closed and twisted balance, and boy isn't life a twisted balance right now!
OFF THE MAT we are all straddling normal life and impending doom at any second. That is a lot to carry. Even when we are going about seemingly banal everyday tasks, part of our spirit is trying to process the reality of the world we are living in and to varying degrees worrying about. How are we going to survive? How are we going to take care of our families and our communities at large? So, we take to THE MAT and practice how to do this. How do we choose openness and faith even when there seems to be none in sight? How do we come from a place of listening and love even when there seems to be none in sight?
ON THE MAT this week in the body we are looking at the many options of arm variation for this pose. Often people choose an arm variation that is not right for them and they end up adding stress to an already challenging pose. This week we will change that!
With great respect and love,
Nicole
