Hello Sadhakas!
I’ll keep it really simple this week. BE HERE NOW. Being anywhere else is self-harming. If you want to let go of your past and strengthen your future: BE HERE NOW. Make NOW the best it possibly can be by being fully awake to all of the small wonders and by realizing that overwhelmingly, in this moment you are ok.
One of the most fascinating things I have learned studying the Yoga Sutras is that they were written so that you only had read as much as you needed to “get it”. The most important stuff first, followed by description for those who needed it (most of us need it, we need all of it and a great teacher lol). Which is to say, there is a HUGE clue about the key to the yoga practice hidden right there in the first word of the first verse of the first chapter: NOW.
That’s it. If we can be here now, if we cannot judge people or ourselves on what has come before, if we cannot get swept up in our egos nightmares of what might happen next, if we can do that, we get to be in a state of joy SOOOOO much more often.
That is what we practice ON and OFF THE MAT this week. Strengthening the future by letting go of the past and being here NOW.
With great respect and love,
Nicole
