Weekly Mantra:
I see the vase
Hello Sadhakas!
I once had a therapist say to someone I love:
“You are focusing so much on the tiny crack that you are missing the beautiful vase and the lovely flowers in it!
This week we see the vase, not the crack. We focus on grace- on seeing what you ARE doing, what IS happening, we focus on what we CAN do. In a world full of greusome pictures of horrors that can lock us in inaction and at a time of year that feels like there’s just never enough hours in the day- we will mindfully pause. We will extend grace to ourselves and others and to our global community.
As you show up ON THE MAT back in the December Flow for week two, be nothing but proud of yourself for remembering more and more of it. You watch in awe as your amazing body finds its way through it. Do not see any of your flaws. Do not see ways you could be "better". You have the ability to choose to focus on what IS and not what ISN’T. See how you ARE, see what you CAN. Feel yourself starting to settle in to knowing this flow and BE.
OFF THE MAT you give yourself and everyone you come into contact with a break. We are all wading through traumas. We are all trying to find the light. We are all being asked to evolve to a higher spiritual plane.
Go into every interaction with yourself and others with a little grace, a little forgiveness. Assume innocence for others (and yourself). Extend clemency when things aren't perfect, or plans change. I don't know about you, but a temporary exemption feels like just the ticket.
See you ON THE MAT!
With great respect and love,
Nicole
