Dearest Yogis,
In beautiful divine timing this week ON THE mat we are looking at holding the shape of downward facing dog, in more challenging relationships to gravity.
We are testing our strength and increasing our resilience by challenging our muscles to stay true- even when it gets really really hard. And I'll be damned if we aren't being asked to do the very same thing OFF THE mat, not only this week but for what seems like the foreseeable future. I know you might be feeling sad and overwhelmed. I know that a sense safety has been taken from all of us and we have been given a huge dose of unknowns. I know that in times like this it can be tempting to abandon all faith and all hope and these are the moments we want to stay on the floor and not get up. But the integrity lies in the getting up. In holding true even in the darkest moments.
All things are happening on purpose and for us.
A legend of a woman left her body this week. That might feel like a reason to stay down, but it is not, it is a reason to get up. In her spirits infinite wisdom she knew that she could start a very powerful fire by igniting that little spark within each of that shares her voice and her work will continue, amplified by all of us. She embodied integrity. Doing what she knew to be right even when it seemed impossible and when all odds were against her. It's hard to imagine we share a spark with giants like RBG but we do. And if we do then in each of us lies the same strength and power she had.
Connecting with, expanding and living the fullest of our life's purpose and ability like RBG did starts with one small step... and then another and then another.
Decide what you believe in and take a step in its direction. You will feel yourself start to return to yourSelf and you will feel peace even in the fight.
With great respect and love,
Nicole
