Summer schedules can be unpredictable and evolving so a "design my day" journal (could even be an icloud note or special app) is a lovely way to keep in touch with what you want to prioritize on a daily basis in an ever shifting schedule. It could be as setting a simple intention for the day, or as detailed as mapping out each and every moment. Flexibility is key in the summer months.
Keep a muslin in your bag even if the baby days are long gone. No one wants to carry around a picnic blanket but much more outdoor time is spent in the summer months. Muslins are light and easy for throwing down on a bench or grass for an impromptu outdoor moment with or without your children.
Find time for creativity - JUST FOR FUN! Keep a small sketchbook, poetry journal, or something that lights you up on hand. When you find a moment of your own, don't be tempted to pick up your phone. It's simply miraculous what 5-10 minutes of spontaneous creativity (without a sensor) can do for your spirit!
