Black Lives Matter

the May all beings everywhere be happy and free, and may my thoughts, words, and actions contribute in some way to happiness and freedom for all

*******

I don't know what it is like to be a person of color in this lifetime.

I do know that at Yoga 216:

We stand against police brutality in all forms.

We stand against a criminal justice system that disproportionately targets Black Americans.

We stand against the widespread disenfranchisement of the Black community whose voices are silenced at the polls.

I also know that the last week has made brutally clear to me that taking for granted my simple civil liberties has made me part of the lack of a solution to the problem no matter how open and non discriminant I know my heart to be. Coming into this consciousness has me feeling sad and stuck but that feeling is giving way to a hunger for action. I will find my way to contribute.

For this week I can use my platform to give space to those who need to be heard- which we will do by participating in the #amplifymelanatedvoices movement on Instagram for the duration of this week.

I will also provide a free yoga flow.

Click the link below and flow daily with me and our community in silence and in prayer for the better future that is being birthed through this painful process and in honor of those who laid down their lives that it may be possible. Then get out there and find the fire to be a part of the solution.

With Great Respect and Love,

Nicole
